Seeing a number of these kinds of out of the money alerts firing off , mostly after hours. I have them set to "last inside the spread" percent moves, so in this case the b/a is 172/173 and 132 should not trigger an alert but does. It triggered two alerts as can be seen at the same time, and did it again a few min later

So actually, that DAY* would behave the same as TWS , where day orders placed anytime expire the same day. Correct?

To be clear on this, I was referring to TWS native, not through Medved. They must default to Day + Ext on orders entered after hours .
I see Ameritrade will timeout Day + Ext ( placed after 4pm) on the same day, but a straight DAY order carries over to the next day.
PS Whats's the Day* order I see in the dropdown ?

Not a good idea, I have alerts set to specific times, like the close . Have to go in and manually fix them .
Maybe you're using universal time so it gets screwy when the close changes ?

Kind of confusing, as IB TWS cancels all orders placed before 8PM that same day, unless you're using GTC
So I'd have to specify DAY+EXT to get it to only be for the same day ?

Good idea , I get a blast of alerts when starting up.
So a setting of REALTIME alerts only would solve that. Could be a setting in the alert, so if you wanted it to trigger any time, it could.

I would have expected it to cancel , but it was still open today.

ok, i woke the computer from sleep at 6am , and just now at 7:24am an alert set for 3:59pm fired

Yeah, but these are triggering long after waking, at seemingly random times.
I'll keep an eye on it , see if I can figure out what might be happ.

Nothing wrong with my system clock. They fire hours away from the appointed time
Doesn't happen a lot but I've seen it a number of times now. I usually SLEEP my system at night leaving MT running, so wonder if something doesn't get out of whack because of that .

odd. seems to pick up most trades when the trade size is set low. does that make any sense vs what you're saying ?

Getting erratic results from it, sometimes fires, many times doesnt . Take a look at the code, maybe something flaky in there. Using Ameritrade feed
think maybe the multiplier is wrong on the shares, works when i enter 1 share , but 100, 200 etc not so good

Not sure why I recall a higher number. Then its even more crippled than I thought
The full feed is not so busy that they couldn't just stream it. Can't complain to them since its free, huh

Getting only 2800 subscriptions , used to be over 4k . did they change the limit ?

I am aware that the crypto feed is 27/4 and fast. I did some testing with that disabled already .
Did some more testing and apparently the crypto feed and a chart is enough to cause those spikes over 10% usage. I have the chart update setting cranked all the way down. If I raise it up, cpu usage is even higher, as expected.
Seemed strange to me, because during the day, the CPU usage is NOT that much higher, even though all the stocks are ticking, and alerts are firing all the time.

I just noticed another app with the same issue. Must have been the latest windows update that farked with something.
I'll have to track it down.

This is an old problem , and I never seem to be looking at it when it happens. multiple times a day this column is resizing from a narrow state.
No idea what triggers it. Seems random. Nothing is set to autosize.
