ok, thanks
dont know how you guys keep up with all the intricacies of a project like this
I suspect it would take an outsider months to get up to speed
-
I like the new indicator. but notice the Current volume is different than the standard volume plot (by quite a lot) could you check that
Also, a small point, since its easy to change, but red for ask prints and green for bid as the defaut ?
-
Seems kind of random. did it again today. all three alert boxes, revert to full width on wake from sleep mode
top alert shows after sleep condition, one below is how it was left before sleep
-
I did on two of the three alert windows . Think the one that was set off also resized on wake .
I set them all to off, just in case
-
Strange, but the column widths in the Alert log revert to full size (time column) after waking from sleep mode. I've manually reduced the size during a session to take up less space .
Any reason why that's happening.

I use the ancient and venerable Dexpot
Better than Virtual Desktops and MT works fine with it . As does everything else !
-
thanks . someone there is not doing their job keeping symbols up to date
what excuse for something like LCA to have no hist backfill
-
another one, this NOT a recent symbol
APEX
??? something else going on here. I get 1 day back fill ameritrade
Yahoo works fine
-
No point in giving a laundry list of symbols if they dont fix the underlying problem
I run into a bunch of these every day, mostly recent ipos
LI has been trading for MONTHS . No historical back fill
-
Really too many symbols involved to be random. They are simply not maintaining their database properly . Is this really a big deal for them ?
Annoying to have to switch to other feeds on so many stocks. TOS has no problem, only the api
example GOCO , trading for many weeks now, no historical backfill
-
Still bugged monday
Net change for @es is dropping off
@nq @ym are fine
-
@es backfill is using the Sept contract and realtime quotes the DEC , causing a fake spike down
Anything we can do about this ?
Seeing the same old problem of the @ES net change dissappearing randomly too . They fixed it a while back , broke again
-
Doesnt seem to be too much interest in this feed being removed
I found the feed quite fast , faster than ameritrade.
-
Just to clarify, not talking about the intraday data , but the Daily bars in Historical charts.
Is that what you mean ? There are quite a few symbols that dont work , I run into them all the time
-
I have alternate sources , but always nice to have the backups.
-
This is a long term issue, might be their servers, but many recent symbols do not backfill on the historical charts at Ameritrade.
LI has been trading for weeks, as an example, no backfill
-
Just sent the log, but for the first time, cant log in to etrade at all now., even on restart Getting a fault message
tried changing the log in info to force a fresh try, no go .
-
Tried the force from the Sources page, if thats what you mean
Will send you the log next time this happens , prob next week
-
Kind of a recent issue, was fine before .
I often sleep the pc , and while Ameritrade has no problem 'reconnecting' , Etrade lately won't do it . Even with a forced relog from the Sources page.
Have to restart MT to get back on.
No errors are seen , just stays 'red'
-
MT does a lot of things right , but I've ask for this before and as far as I know, still not in there
Dont see why we cant have the port scans autostart (selectable) , instead of having to remember to press the button every time we load MT , Im always forgetting to do this .
As far as system load, thats a non issue , just put it on a timer , a minute after the app loads.

pretty sure this is usually working , but @ES volume bars is not coloring pre/post . Set to cme regular hours./ extended set to always , as usual
running latest release
Works on regular minute bars
-
i have not noticed any discrepancies worth worrying about
give an example symbol that had a big difference
-
You just reminded me that I could use the NOT operator to filter out alerts
ie , I have the global alerts box for all alerts , but can exempt the alerts I've assigned to their own screens. reduces the clutter
-
actually dont even have access to the api with the Free Trade account.
theres a small monthly fee for the imbalace info
Volume Detailed on chart , different than Volume

lol, its no secret , I know it very well, having programmed for 40 years.
thats why I said, a NEW guy looking at the code would take many months to get hip!
even looking back on your own code , not worked on for a long period of time can be torture.
Im sure you know all this.
