emailed both of you.

@rpm -- I thought one of you guys already got the beta? email me if you have any questions

Hey Jerry ..yes Johnny aka DayTraderRockStar did a while back. he hasn't' had a chance to convert his machine over to use it yet. I'm the tech guy and the director of operations at DTR and also host and broadcast Friday shows on the site. I felt we might have a better chance letting me spend some time setting it up while not broadcasting and then helping him and showing him what I have learned to make things go faster for him. His machine, with the exception of Friday's is always dedicated to displaying QT charts and encoding a live show.. literally now for the last 7 years  I have bene part of things it's been that way. We mentioned to our users today on the air that I was going to get a copy and we would start to showcase it on the show. I believe several other members also requested a download from you and many already run it and love it so far. I feel as a huge community and the fact so many of our members run QT already an learned about it from us.. your new product only makes perfect sense that we work together in the future. So far ..i LOVE it. it seems to FLY. Is it native 64 or still 32? it's fast man!

One more question for you (you might want to move this post) but wondering ..does TD offer a futures feed that you can grab for the new medved trader? I know they offer it in the TOS platform ..a simple /ES for the mini works. But no one seems to know if there is one through the QT TD feed. Regardless what I would like to do is use a TD feed for stocks at least and use our IQFeed for the futures. can we at least do that at the same time now?

Thanks Jerry for what looks to be a rockin' new and improved product you have here. We want to help if we can man!! you rock!

MT will run 64 bit natively on 64 bit systems, and 32 on the older ones.

TD Ameritrade datafeed does not support futures.  TOS uses a different datafeed.

Using TDA and IQFeed at the same time is no problem as long as the two portfolios receiving quotes from the two sources do not have the same symbpols. Getting quotes on the same symbol from 2 sources at the same time is problamatic, same as in QT.

  • 1 month later...

Hi Jerry,

Finally find here, I have been using QT many years to get quotes from TDA to Amibroker. Recently the QT intraday volume (TDA as data source) is very bad because TDA server changed something. Could you please send me the link for MT beta? Hopefully MT has similiar HTTP server then I can connect it with Amibroker.

Also, I greatly appreciate if you let me know how to fix these two issues for QT3.9.8 when it paired with TDA streaming data source: 1. backfill intraday doesn't work; 2. wrong intraday volume.

Many thanks

Joe

I emailed you the beta instructions.

As far as TD Ameritrade bad volume data, it is coming from them that way. Seems to be impacting only NYSE symbols.  In MT if you set it to do TICK Streaming, you should not see it since it builds the volume from the tick data rather than getting it from the quote .

I reported the issue to TD Ameritrade yesterday, so should hopefully get fixed soon.

MT does not yet have an API, so no way to connect to AmiBroker. When we do, it would have to be configured again. Will not be the same API as what QT used.
