Crazy symbol on Ameritrade

  BMRYT , Bristol Meyers rights that just started trading the other day, ok on IB, but was having trouble finding it on AMTD

 Called them ,and after escalation, they STILL had no clue how to get it on TOS platform . Pitiful , no ?

 Had to spot this on twitter,

note lower case 'r' .  And you cant  enter it on the tos platform , you have to cut and paste it !

MT is forcing upper case on the final 'r'

Any  idea how to get the symbol entered  in MT

having some issue with back fill.   cant seem to switch the backfill source , using an alternate symbol . no matter what I select under Backfill using, it sticks at "TD Ameritrade"

TD is not backfilling this one, so I was trying  IB and others

 That site switching issue seems not limited to this symbol .  

 

ok , i see whats happ.   you have to change the default source to get that to work.  thought  you could do that on a symbol basis ??  dont want to change the global default ??

Backfill Using should definitely work. However, the other site may not be recognizing the same symbol. So that would be the problem

here's what i did

i had to change the default source to IB , and use their symbol.  this worked

should be able to select IB for only THIS symbol as alternate without changing default, but thats not working

 

as it is, have to go back in and  change default to  'smart' again, after backfilling

Most symbols do not change from site to site, so if you right clicked on AAPL and did Backfill using, you can then select a different source and it will work. What you cannot do is combine "Backfill Using" with "Backfill As"
