Same way you get the % change in the last X minutes If that's not an issue, neither should this be.

I thought you had access to current volume , without needed to add up bars If so, then all you need to do is Take last SIZE, subtract from CURRENT VOLUME, and divide that new value by SIZE, to get the % increase in volume Im referring to. Size last X minutes = 50,000 Current volume =200,000 200,000-50,000 = 150,000 150,000/50,000 = 33% increase in size over last X minutes If somehow you don't have current volume as a single data point, then you'd have to calculate it. Not sure why this is any harder than the % price move scan already built in

hmmm.. thought if you already have volume increase data, all you need is the current total volume to calculate what % increase that represents.

yes, Im aware of that Figured this , as a built in , would be a lot cleaner and available to all.

There is already a GLOBAL volume increase by SIZE. What would be very useful is a GLOBAL volume increase by X% (of total volume )in X minutes. As is it, high volume stocks keep popping up on the scan , as they frequently have large blocks . I know this can be written in a scan, but since theres only 1 scan per port, its not practical.

i thought so, but not wasnt worknig for me at the moment with a certain chart just tried it again, and it worked . something is flaky all backfilled except 1 , strangely. had to do that with a manual (right click on symbol in the chart, bf) ill keep an eye on it .

I have a chart with a bunch of symbols, but backfill only works for primary symbol. I do not have an open port with the symb to use backfill all from there Something I can do for this ?

Trying some different settings and multiple pressure bar indicators on the same chart With setting at MIN of say 1000, no max, Im seeing trades of 1000 or more on the t&s (ameritrade) but the bars dont paint. Bid/Ask only filter is NOT clicked

you already have the kitchen sink , maybe in your spare time you might want to throw in a heatmap, like the kind Finviz offers Something like 'all open portfolios' would be useful.

Is this an issue with their api server? Example CCC showing a 10% loss on MT (-1.67) when its up. the Thinkorswim platform is correct at +.08 Seen a few of these lately

Strange. I have a second symbol plot (in this case the $tick) on the UPPER part of a chart (Above the Main Chart) . Drawing a horiz line, I cant edit its properties. Right click does nothing, should show the properties box A 'below chart ' plot on that same chart seems to allow this.

updated to latest ib version 275, bf worked ok today. will monitor

Do you know offhand when throttling is supposed to kick in ? I have most of my symbols working off Ameritrade's feed , only a dozen or so from IB , (5 futures) . I dont think throttling is supposed to happen with such a small load .

Having trouble getting IB's backfill to work first thing in the morning lately . I know they have some weird pacing issues, but we're talking only a handful of symbols , so not sure why that would be a factor. Seems to kick in after a long wait . Any ideas ?

Like what you're doing with the Volume by price, but looks to me like volume by price, and volume by price DETAILED are the same ? Am I missing something ?

i rarely see that , must have been something backing up the feed
