  1. I read the help file 😁 Maybe you could expand on what going on with the settings there, finding it a bit confusing as to what its actually doing between the two setting.
  2. aha Lots of settings, rarely used or looked at. Who can remember them all Didn't make sense that it would be per chart only , without an option for global. Thanks
  3. Not sure I understand that Are you saying the text IS global ? If so , its not working for me. I put text on a chart ,and other charts with same symbol do not show it .
  4. I would have thought it would carry over to any chart using that symbol, but guess not. Wouldn't it be more useful that way ? Possibly an option "This chart only OR All charts with this symbol" ??
  5. I made some changes to the Vwap SD settings , used 360 , not 999 Seems to have reduced to usage some Is there some way you could do a Current DAY SD that would be optimized for low cpu use ?
  6. Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is correct. Bid+Bid / Ask+Ask Guess not too many MT users using that feature 😊
  7. just looked at the straddle bid/ask in the options chain looks screwy to me
  8. no , that wasnt it . Did some debugging , seems to be related directly to the chart performance setting . Have to bring it down to below 50% to get decent cpu usage.
  9. didnt check my email. will do that now
  10. see anything Jerry ? something I can try on my end to narrow it down ?
  11. will do, market is closed now (4:30) still seeing constant spikes , so we know its not the quote stream (at least not the volume of quotes)
  12. Seeing an issue with the latest beta , very high constant cpu use. 30-40% on a 4 core. Turned off all ports so only some charts running , didn't make a diff. How do we narrow down what thread is causing this . For reference, Im running TOS and TWS an both use 1/2 the cpu (<20 each)
  13. I get all that but..... I always back fill my lists (none of which are huge) so the mini inline charts are accurate. I expect many or most do the same Would be simple enough to just start the scan AFTER the backfill for that portfolio is done, or using a simple time delay . Two or three minutes would be long enough for things to settle down, Since It's something I do EVERY day (turn on the scan) having that the only thing not automated seems strange. If someone is running scans in two , three or more ports, you have to press F11 , and START scan for each one . (If theres a hot key for this ,Im not aware of it ) Just doesn't seem to me that it would break anything to have this as an option.
  14. I keep forgetting to manually turn on portfolio scans in the morning I don't see the downside in making them autostart , as an option
  15. Jerry, you missed adding Xmas to the system timeframes for CME Globex - Regular Hours Happy Holidays
  16. Figured you'd nail it fast enough Wanted to report it quickly, as that could be a problem for someone staring at a 'frozen' chart while futures were ripping one way or the other I have an app that provides audio feedback for the futures (hooks into the IB Api) , so I know when they are in motion.
  17. As a data point, it affect ALL futures charts, and each one had to be 'tweaked' separately to get the data to flow Yes, Im sure you can , but nothing like the real thing 😉
  18. You prob won't see the problem tonight. Suspect the downtime and restart triggered it.
  19. Just saw this tonight. Using latest beta I have all my futures using IB , and chart timeframes set to CME Globex Regular Hours, and Extended Hours set to Always. This way I see all the data ,and you color the extended hours automatically. Somehow the charts stopped getting data after the 6pm restart. All of them (ES , NQ, etc) Quotes were fine and streaming. Just fiddling with the Globex timeframe settings resumed the data on the charts. That's all I can tell you about it. Any reason this might have happened. ?
  20. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt something that could be fixed. Makes sense that if they only update the volume, you would not know the new price.
  21. I know IB feed is separate I assumed that since the amtd feed was showing the lot size , that there should be a matching price to go with it . Still not clear on why that isnt the case. Are you saying they increment the volume without an attached price ?
  22. What Im saying is , IB is able to report the actual last price 12.15 Are you saying Ameritrade reports the size of the odd lot , but not the real price ?
  23. Nope. Getting tick data from Ameritrade I see the odd lot sized data in the tick stream, so they must be sending it. It compares exactly with the odd lot data in IB's stream size wise, but not price. If it would help , I can do a screen shot showing this at work
  24. I'll give an example Last round lot of XYZ trades at $12.20. That is what shows as the last price 43 shares trade at $12.15 . I see this actual trade price on IB's t&s stream, using their platform. Last price is still reported as 12.20 , as an odd lot doesn't change the last reported print the same 43 shares show on the Ameritrade t&s, but with the last price of 12.20 , NOT the real trade price of 12.15. So, was wondering if Ameritrade is failing to report the real price , and using the last price, OR is MT not picking up the 12.15 somehow.
