  1. Loaded the latest build you linked, and no problem since . Don't know if that code contained anything related, but thought you might want an update. Still seeing an annoying spike in CPU lasting almost a minute (long after the data has filled in ) whenever I change symbols on my linked L2 & Charts. Don't think that should be happening. Do you see anything like this on your end?
  2. Ok , did this 3 times (stop process, reload) , and on the third run everything loaded. Could be the Ameritrade servers are not working properly, and its hanging MT?
  3. Just sent you the log on Ameritrade failing at 4pm Also note MT will not shutdown now normally, . close command hangs. Have to kill the process. Not sure what the deal is now, on reload MT is hanging. Clock not ticking, etc. locks up . suggestions?
  4. Not sure what was going on Friday, but the issue hasn't cropped up since, so I didn't bother sending the logs. Might have been some server side weirdness
  5. ran the last few hours without incident. just a heads up
  6. saw your email about sending log via help. will reload the beta to get a clean error log
  7. Def have a problem here. What happens is , L2 fails to load when I change a symbol and it KILLS the ameritrade feed completely. No error message. Mt will not shut down cleanly First Ive seen of this , recently updated to latest BETA version Im reloading the latest RELEASE version
  8. Sent you a link via message Don't know if its related, but still seeing that issue where cpu spikes for almost a minute after a symbol change. Some process isn't finishing cleanly.
  9. Dont know what just happened. Amtd server stopped, tried forcing relog, which hung at login (never cleared). Used alternate broker feed for a while. When I went to restart MT, it would not close. Dashboard would not appear, but app still running and working. Killed the process, and when resuming AMTD was working again. ??
  10. Second time this week servers crapped out for me
  11. Was just on the phone , and the rep insists he set it up. As I said, it did go from BATS only to REALTIME on the Ally Screen Possible the new setting doesnt populate to the API servers until later? If still busted on Monday , I'll forward the account info. I rarely use the Ally quotes so it's not a rush Nasdaq broke late in the day for IB and AMTD also had some issues, so I was using them as backup
  12. I went to use the realtime quotes from Ally, instead of my usual ameritrade, (they were down). Quotes were showing up delayed. I called Ally and had them reset my account to realtime, and this is verified on the ally screen. Says realtime on the account page. But MT still delivering delayed quotes after log off/on, ('D" after symbol, quotes verified delayed). Any idea why?
  13. Well, any reason for cpu use to spike for 45 seconds after a few boxes populate? It slows response to other activities during this time. normal avg about 12-15% with brief spikes higher. Here it goes into the mid 30's Ive seen it where it stays elevated, lately is drops back on its own Symbols already in an active port, so its not loading all fresh data.
  14. Reproducible. Every time I change charting/l2 symbols cpu spikes for a lot longer than it takes to populate the data. Seems to resolve on its own
  15. problem again, after some time it just eats cpu. any way for me to tell what process in mt is causing this? Looks like loading a new symbol in my linked charts , cases a big spike for a 45 secs to a minute . then its dropping back on its own . Symbol can already be in a live port, so its not new data . Only thing new would be the L2 Slightly diff than before, where it was just high cpu consistently, with no action on my part.
  16. Afraid it did it again today. Not sure what kicks off the cpu burn. Nothing I tried brought down the high use. Had to close , restart, which seems to have cured it for now
  17. lol, yeah, I know. been good for a few days, so might have been something anomalous.
  18. Just to keep things interesting, I did not have a problem today. I'll keep an eye on it
  19. Here's what I'm seeing. Startup MT , after a while high cpu usage (35% avg) . Stays high If I STOP a few port feeds (I only have three open) and restart them , the CPU usage drops to avg 15% or less and stays there. Make any sense as to why that would be? I should also mention I turn on a scan for these ports.
  20. hmmm. I can tell you IB is accurate, though amtd only shows the primary exchange, stupidly. I'm not aware of any source that doesn't supply b/a, If possible, I'd like to have access to the b/a , hopefully its not a big deal to add that .
  21. I'll try that , but if there was an issue with the data, I assume that might not fix it. I already have it set to compress tick data after 1 day. Does consolidate do more than that?
  22. I think I looked for this a while back and could not find it. I'd like a script to be able to access the current bid/ask size. Can we currently do this?
  23. Did those exclusions long ago. Microsoft Security Essentials. Had a hunch it might be the large SDATA file (up to 1.5 gig on my machine) or ,maybe some corrupted data in there So I deleted it and started fresh. Seems to have fixed the problem for now. Only reason I don't like deleting that, is you lose the intraday IB futures data going back more than 10 days.
