  1. Figured you'd nail it fast enough Wanted to report it quickly, as that could be a problem for someone staring at a 'frozen' chart while futures were ripping one way or the other I have an app that provides audio feedback for the futures (hooks into the IB Api) , so I know when they are in motion.
  2. As a data point, it affect ALL futures charts, and each one had to be 'tweaked' separately to get the data to flow Yes, Im sure you can , but nothing like the real thing 😉
  3. You prob won't see the problem tonight. Suspect the downtime and restart triggered it.
  4. Just saw this tonight. Using latest beta I have all my futures using IB , and chart timeframes set to CME Globex Regular Hours, and Extended Hours set to Always. This way I see all the data ,and you color the extended hours automatically. Somehow the charts stopped getting data after the 6pm restart. All of them (ES , NQ, etc) Quotes were fine and streaming. Just fiddling with the Globex timeframe settings resumed the data on the charts. That's all I can tell you about it. Any reason this might have happened. ?
  5. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt something that could be fixed. Makes sense that if they only update the volume, you would not know the new price.
  6. I know IB feed is separate I assumed that since the amtd feed was showing the lot size , that there should be a matching price to go with it . Still not clear on why that isnt the case. Are you saying they increment the volume without an attached price ?
  7. What Im saying is , IB is able to report the actual last price 12.15 Are you saying Ameritrade reports the size of the odd lot , but not the real price ?
  8. Nope. Getting tick data from Ameritrade I see the odd lot sized data in the tick stream, so they must be sending it. It compares exactly with the odd lot data in IB's stream size wise, but not price. If it would help , I can do a screen shot showing this at work
  9. I'll give an example Last round lot of XYZ trades at $12.20. That is what shows as the last price 43 shares trade at $12.15 . I see this actual trade price on IB's t&s stream, using their platform. Last price is still reported as 12.20 , as an odd lot doesn't change the last reported print the same 43 shares show on the Ameritrade t&s, but with the last price of 12.20 , NOT the real trade price of 12.15. So, was wondering if Ameritrade is failing to report the real price , and using the last price, OR is MT not picking up the 12.15 somehow.
  10. Noticed this. Using the ameritrade feed , odd lots show as printing at the last ROUND lot price, not the actual price of the trade as shown on the IB t&s feed. Is this an ameritrade issue or something MT is doing.
  11. I missed this post . Frankly, it happens so rarely, we'd have to get lucky doing it this way (custom build) , unless I didn't update with the regular beta's until the bug appeared. I believe it may happen if MT crashes or hangs and has to be restarted, which is usually the only time I load a backup set. Seems like an odd problem , why that one setting should revert.
  12. lol, why am I not surprised. Thats why I posted to begin with, a 5-600 meg diff seems a lot with the same setup. looking at the working set fig. The Commit fig is higher . Seems ok now, lets forget about it unless it becomes an issue
  13. Seeing lower usage now , didn't change anything my side (working set memory =1.2 G, was 1.7 - 2 G earlier this week) Did you do anything in the latest beta?
  14. I was wondering why I wasn't seeing the alert text in the Alert Log. Turns out its placed after the name of the alert, so If the window isnt wide enough its out of sight. Would be great if that could be added to the insertable parameters so it can be displayed earlier in the string.
  15. I see. Thought it would be equiv to Bid/Ask size, which seems to work well enough . I'll look at using some of the built in indicators to get what I want. I have another request I'll put in a new topic
  16. Was looking to use last trade size but don't see it in the list of choices. Is this something you have to add, like we did for bid/ask size? Started to try and calculate it from volume, but not exactly sure how to do it in C## and it would be a lot simpler directly accessed
  17. End of day, accumulated all the futures tick data and mem usage is LESS than what is was on startup . 1.5g now, was as high as 1.7 gig earlier after the consolidation. Seems odd to me, no?
  18. Just deleted the news.bin file which wasnt very big (60 meg on disk), and restarted again, seem to slice 250 meg off usage, which is more like normal. That plus a double restart maybe? I looked at the sbin, and much of is it empty, so I dont think its loads of tick data. Ill UL the setting , see if theres anything odd
  19. The sdata.bin is almost 1 gig after consolidation. Im pretty sure we were using quite a bit less mem (forget exactly, maybe 1.5 gig or so tops) up until a very recently, thats why I mention it Any way to see what is using all the mem or to try and reduce usage? running other apps at the same time , so getting to 100% use of free ram, otherwise wouldn't really care.
  20. Looks like MT starting to use a lot of ram recently . Over 2 gig. I consolidated data, and have tick set to only 1 day . less than 100 symbols in use Seems high
  21. I notice makincash else reported this recently. 10/5
  22. ok, ill look since Im not a c programmer , its a miracle the code works at all ? I see the bug, since I usually monitor the bid, IF that code was failing I wouldn't have caught it yet.
  23. Not sure exactly when this happens but Ive seen it many times now over the last year . I think it's most like to occur when I reload a backup set of settings during the day. (I do that when on load, I've lost the window positions, which seems to happen from time to time) Here's the bug , my T&S windows load up with the wrong color scheme (I told you it was a small bug) Once in a blue moon I've seen L2 windows do the same. You can probably figure out how this might happen .
