  1. Basically, I want the volume chart for futures through expiration. I don't subscribe to IQfeed, I use IB's data. So I think you'd have to do something where certain symbols could be retained for a longer period of time. Otherwise would have to keep data on 100+ stocks for 60 days just so ES & NQ can be preserved for that period.
  2. I see that the sdata.bin had gotten to 900 meg. I reduced days to 30 and that brought if down to <500 meg, as expected There's an issue with that though. For stocks, I really dont care, but I'd like to save at least the consolidated bars for FUTURES symbols for at least 90 days. I assume I'll lose that intraday data after 30 days on the ES , NQ etc with the setting at 30 . Is there some way to deal with this?
  3. same issue as the volume bug! CME globex REG hours vs cme globex. fixes it. whats up with this?
  4. another oddity, clicking show only last day, the line disappears.
  5. remembered what i did to fix this. when the futures rolled over apparently the setting didnt stick based on root, and I forgot Id changed to : , globex REG hours, extended always, to get a clean chart plain globex causes the issue.
  6. now that u mention it, i tried it on historical. seems to be working. intraday not.
  7. Problem seems to come and go (or maybe I dont notice it failing) , but the H Line using last OR close doesnt update on any of my futures charts. (IB feed is fine, values are updating) Working for stocks.
  8. Will try what I can, but already have consolidate set low (2).
  9. While you have all the data, check into cpu usage. Today a real cpu hog, using 50%!! and 1.7 GIG of ram This is at 10:45, busy market but not wildly so.
  10. Filtering is already off. IB datafeed. The Ameritrade feed I also use doesn't have futures. All I see at that time is about 10k worth of volume at 16:44-45, then starts up again at 16:30 with normal volume. Thats' why I think there's an issue, the chart is showing something else as you can see., It's a big file, but could always send you the data to look at.
  11. You're just too fast, I posted and then fooled with getting the image uploaded. The 'gallery' here is a bit clumsy , would prefer to just be able to UL directly to the message, but doesn't seem to be a way.

    Bad ES Volume data
  14. Seeing this issue from time to time. Not sure if its rollover related (dont think so) . Getting spurious bars between 16:30 and 17:00 , but not seeing the data in the RAW feed. See attached image. http://forums.medvedtrader.com/index.php?/gallery/image/11-/
  15. Be nice to get a filter working. Should not be hard to implement an exclude list, possible on a per alert setting, so you can still have an alert for something like tick, but exclude it from the Global Mover alert.
  16. Mostly , I do a clear when there's bad data, a frequent issue with IB Futures. Your idea for a checkbox sounds good.
  17. Saving of time seems to be fixed nicely but seeing another odd related issue. for ES only, NQ is fine. 9:30am is not displaying right. It was working previously. The chart starts at 9:15, this is on a 1 minute chart. I've seen it start at other odd times, besides 9:30. Tried clear/backfill, no diff.
  18. just thought of something to save a step. whenever I do a clear data, I nearly ALWAYS do a backfill. now its not hard to do both, but a separate SINGLE step Clear&BF might be nice.
  19. Im finding the alert log useful, and adding color to it would make it easier to read. How about user selectable when setting up the alert, that would be perfect.
  20. looked fixed on Friday using new version
  21. Not sure how this behavior is what's intended. I customize the from time (the third line option, 0 days From 9:30AM) in chart XYZ. During the session this is remembered and I can simply press '0' and get that chart to display as wanted. If I call up the edit box again, it leaves my modified time setting alone . Now , the next day , when this chart is reloaded, I would expect that custom time to be remembered and available to me without having to reenter it each and every day. Reselecting custom time popup using '0', should not arbitrarily delete my entered values. It should simply enable editing them. I explained why I need to use the manual 9:30 start , as the ES settings I'm using dont start the chart there using the built in options. PS , I see now that even during the session, if I modify the timeframe options , ie selecting Last/Time (row 1 of the popup) it also deletes the custom time entered on row 3. I'd seriously rethink this design, as there is no benefit that I can see and causes extra work for the user, who chooses to vary the timeframe view.
  22. Strange no one else reporting this stuff? Maybe I'm the last man standing that looks at a Level 2
  23. Here's the problem Looks to me like the time data is saved in current.layout, correct me if I'm wrong. If I send you the layout AFTER I enter the data, it will be there. If I send you the layout AFTER I close and reopen it wont have the custom time data. Tell you what I just saw. I entered an odd time 9:37. I closed and reopened MT. I quickly pressed 0 on the @ES chart. It was THERE! And a few seconds later it wasn't. Sorry, if I'm encroaching on the debugging process, I really don't want to spend tons of time doing this, but these are obnoxious and hard to replicate problems and if I don't bang on them here you're not going to be able to replicate them so easily. Here's what I've found. The data seems to be saved, but as soon as you do anything with the chart, select another timeframe, keyboard or use the ctrl-mousewheel, , I see an Unknown Timeframe message flash on the top of the chart, and the custom timeframe value is lost. See if you can duplicate this. If you can't I'll record it.
