BlueCollarDayTrading
Is there an upper indicator that will dynamically display Halt prices. If not will you make one?
0 Jerry Medved
No, we don't get that data from most of the sources, so never set that up
0 BlueCollarDayTrading
Found a webpage that has a Thinkorswim indicator for circuit breaker halts. I tried it and it works well. Can you convert this to MT https://usethinkscript.com/threads/circuit-breaker-halt-indicator-for-thinkorswim.1043/page-
0 Jerry Medved
if you just want to detect no activity for X min or more, you can do that as a paintbar.
0 BlueCollarDayTrading
I want to have an estimated price level that a stock will halt so I can exit a trade before that level if I do not want to hold into a Halt.
0 Jerry Medved
y, I can understand that - have seen a few of those this week. Seems that the rules for that involve having data on S&P 500 though and our indicator stuff works on one symbol only at this time. Will see if anything custom can be done. The exchange establish those volatility bands (per security, is not associated to the S&P)) as described here https://www.nasdaqtrader.com/content/MarketRegulation/LULD_FAQ.pdf Sterling Software includes the value (highlighted in red) on the L2, although I don't know if they do the math "on the fly" or if it comes from the market data they receive. 0 Mike Medved
Ok I see that the PDF you cited refers to individual symbols' trade halt levels and not to the market halts.. Will implement that.
