Jason
From the Dashboard on the upper right hand corner we have a button that allows us to minimize everything. Can this be achieved through a keyboard shortcut or assigned to a hotkey? I've been looking around and haven't been able to find a way to do this. I can see in the keyboard shortcut list an option to restore all windows but can't seem to find a corresponding option for minimizing everything or any kind of toggle. It's pretty irritating having to restore the Dashboard and move my mouse to hit that tiny button on the top right.
wilburpost2
All the portfolio windows have the minimize all button.
Jason
But I still have a small target to move to hit with the mouse. Instead, I could just use a keyboard shortcut. In my setup I have a lot of charts and it's very common that I need to minimize and then restore everything. In fact, I'm very surprised that this hasn't been previously addressed. Especially considering how simple a function it is and how many configurable shortcuts there are for just about everything else. It is possible for me to put together a solution in my code using scripts but that's a kludgy fix that imposes a significant performance penalty. Natively, the minimizing functionality of MT is vastly superior.
wilburpost2
I get what you're saying. Everyone has a different type of operation. I use a trackball with acceleration to zip from screen to screen with a thumb flick. Moving slow gives the precision to hit a target. MT creators are very responsive to user requests. Min All Hotkey seems logical to me.
Mike Medved
Will be in next beta. The minimize all is easy, the restore all is the one that is awkward. Cuz if everything is minimized, the window does not see the keypress at all.
