mmoy
I am using real-time charts and the last price is displaying 13 decimal digits which squeezes the chart over to the left. Is there a way to decrease the precision to 2 places?
mmoy
Setting Intraday Data to 2 fixes this problem. It seems that there are a few problems related to setting Intraday Data to 1. I still have one chart showing four decimal digits but I can live with that.
Jerry Medved
What symbol? What datafeed? go to SETTINGS / Application / General screen What exactly is your setting for Prices format set to?

mmoy
If I'm at 1 day and I open a new chart, it has the long decimal thing. If I then switch to 2 days, then it fixes the price display to two or four decimals. If I switch back to 1 day, it shows two or four decimals. So the workaround, if at 1 day, is to switch to 2 days and then switch back.

vrtrader64
I'm posting this, because I see that some indicator (EMA) values and Fib line levels have too many digits in my historical chart. Maybe there is a specification somewhere that I missed ?
Mike Medved
What should be the criteria for MT to decide at what precision to show those numbers?
vrtrader64
let the user decide If there is no setting for "significant digits" or "decimal places", please put one in. I think the former is better since it works across different price levels.
Jerry Medved
we have settings that control # of digits for Price. However, for indicators, the value can legitimately be more precise than the # of digits shown for price, which is where the issue comes in. Will see. Jerry Medved
We made it so the # of digits shown on indicators is one more than the dynamic # of digits the chart uses for the Price value. So if you are watching AAPL which trades over 100, the price will show 2 digits. The indicator values will show 3. If you switch to XOMA trading around 3, there will be 3 digits after the decimal on the price and 4 on the indicators.
vrtrader64
That is a simple solution and ought to work for most cases, but some users may prefer to specify precision. I would.
