Royal Bank of Canada (RBC Direct Investing) clients - need someone to test MT with it....

I configured MT to get quotes from RBC, but the account I am using for setting things up has a prompt on login.  I want to make sure that the setup works for accounts that do not have this prompt, or have some different prompt.

 

So....

 

If you have a regular active account with "RBC Direct Investing", please email MT support. I will send you a version of MT that has RBC.  All I need is for you to run MT and send me back the log files...

Can RBC accounts trade via MT, or is it quotes-only?

This would be snapshot quotes only.  To do anything else would require their cooperation

Great. Works. FYI, OPTIONS quote for RBC would be ticker (SPACE) MMDDYY (SPACE) STRIKE (SPACE) C for Call P for Put. Also in real time.

right now I don't have options configured. US options I am familiar with. Do you have any example of some symbols for Canadian options?

added support for options. Select FILE / HELP / Check Updates.  Get updates. Then restart MT EVEN IF there were no updates.

 

should work for both US and Canadian options. As with stocks, you would need to add :CA suffix to the end of the canadian option symbol
