  1. the way those visual styles work, I don't control them. I just set one of the 3. Actually, there are also 3 more for "Office 2007" and one for Windows 7, but there are other issues with those and they don't look that different. The only other option is to not use the visual styles at all, but then I have to manually customize all controls on every screen, which would be a huge pain and would also have performance impact. Did you try the "Black" style?
  2. I copied the values from Hist Data from 1/26/13 to 11/12/13, which is what Yahoo backfill had. That is 200 days. I put that data into Excel and averaged the CLOSE column. the result is 31.93. Repeated with Google data, which would be to 2/3/13 to 11/15/13. Result is 31.936. Not sure where QT got the 30.81, but this clearly shows that the MT calculation is correct
  3. Is anyone else seeing this - if you get the popup saying that updates are available while doing something on the chart, and that opup comes up over the chart, if you select "Get them later" or "Skip this version", when control goes back to the chart, the chart doesn't accept mouse input? We have one machine that it happens on in development environment but cannot recreate the same thing on any other machine. So wondering if anyone else has encountered this? Thanks Jerry
  4. For Bollinger Bands, I see a difference. Will have Mike check As for SMA - I backfilled AAPL with Yahoo in QT and MT on a historical chart and looked at SMA 200. They are identical
  5. Not quite the way it works. Nothing ever works right the first time and there is no way to test things without account access.
  6. for now I changed it so the portfolio and charts do not update the caption if you are not using an Aero theme in Windows. I reported the flashing issue to the developers that made the ribbon control. hopefully they can fix soon.
  7. ok found the situation. Happens on Windows 7 if you have a "Classic" theme selected. No problem on Aero. Will look into it.
  8. the problem with that is that we are not bringing up a menu for the right click. We are bringing up the editor. Adding stuff like copy/delete/change to fib.. is problematic for that. I do have a trouble ticket logged to look at that at some point
  9. I checked on multiple machines and do not see flashing. Can you give me some info about your environment? What operating system Screen resolution, Are you using Aero or classic window theme? Anyone else see the portfolio title bar change when the time is updated?
  10. the updating of the bar is by design. It flashing is not. Will check
  11. "Default" is relative. Default timeframe is the one for example that will be used to show the time on the dashboard status bar. It will be the one used in places where a timeframe is needed but not otherwise specified. Most symbols will have a timeframe specifically assigned to them. on the chart, on the VIEW tab you can change the timeframe used. After changing you can also set that as the "Default" timeframe for that symbol. If you select extended hours, it will show trades OUTSIDE the defined timeframe, In your case, the first quote must be at 6:30, so it shows it.
  12. at this time the charts do not have any subscription to the underlying datafeed. Only the portfolios do. We will change that in the future
  13. I found an issue with the Updates when dealing with individual files. Something I am working on. For now, will have to rely on the full app update.
  14. E*Trade ASX - at least with QT, we had to implement it as a snapshot quote source (and Level II). Don't remember them having historical data. Have not checked recently. However, you can get Hist data from either Yahoo or Google. MT handles the symbol conversion automatically. As far as configuring E*Trade, I don't have an account to use. For QT, a user provided one we could have access to (I think it was non-funded). E*Trade ASX certainly was not cooperative
  15. though we do have separate implementations of some indicators for intraday and Historical (Pivot Points for example), Bollinger Bands are the same for both. I just checked and am able to go to zero for the Std. Dev... are you sure it is working for you for one but not the other?
  16. Actually, if you use the Trace feature (hold down the SHIFT KEY, move it over the chart), it will, but I think I know what you mean. You want a little balloon or something like the way Dividends and Earnings are shown on the Historical charts, but to show the recent High/low, right?
  17. restart once and check if it does it ok after restart.
  18. you don't have the update if its not letting you go below 1. I will check on that. As for Parabolic SAR dot size - you know, I completely forgot about that. That should be an easy change. will do.
  19. Bollinger Bands - I changed it. You can go to FILE/HELP/Check Updates and get the update. Once you restart, it should let you enter lower values for the Std. Dev... (the updates to indicators and sites take affect after restart. The app does not force a restart for those, unlike the full update) As for trendline to fib conversion - the actual conversion is not a big deal. The UI however is, since there is no menu when you right click. It goes directly to the editor and there really isn't any place to add options like that there. That editor screen is completely dynamic, so I can't just add a button there. It would have to be worked into the whoe structure for the way the editor is defined. Not too crazy about doing that right now
  20. Yes, we will add them. Don't have an ETA but it will be one of the first ones. As for custom levels on Fib - we will probably do it (have a todo item for that already)
