here is the thing. Having MT return a consistent value is a technical issue and I can deal with that. However, deciding which # is right for float seems to be completely arbitrary. For example, I checked multiple sources for the same symbol and got wildly different values. For example symbol HSCS: Yahoo Finance: 56.19M https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/HSCS/key-statistics?p=HSCS Finviz: 8.34M https://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=HSCS&ty=c&ta=1&p=d MarketWatch: 8.77 https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/hscs?mod=mw_quote_tab Webull: 38.1M At least for HSCS 2 of them were close. For others, they are all completely different. Of course on something like AAPL, all 4 are identical How do I validate?

News - IB has news options, though require subscription. TDA is the best free one. You saw our suggestion about just opening a new TD Ameritrade account and using that as the data source for the time being? you must have something selected for TDA if you are getting the login. 1) you can turn on auto transmit on the window itself 2) If you are using PriceAtMouse, you would have to use a keyboard shortcut for that instead of a button. Otherwise, the mouse at the time you execute the hotkey would be over the button, not the price ladder.

you can define hotkeys (and thus buttons) that will trigger based on where the mouse is, and then compute the QTY. Not sure about #w - use stop limit price instead of bid/ask? confused. Almost any item in the toolbar can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar (on the caption) that remains there even when the toolbar is hidden. Right click on the quantity field (might need to do it on the arrows on the right side) and select to Add to Quick Access Toolbar

very confused. Why would you not retain data for previous days? MT shows intraday charts for many days - all data is stored. You can have paintbars tracking high/low for whatever period or just reference Opening Range indicator with however amount of time you want to count from the start of each day

those guys are well aware that we (and you) are waiting for the API. Please don't bug them :). They are working on stuff even if you don't see the results yet. Tons of work is done behind the scenes. I know. I used to be in their shoes.

if the datafeed supports continuous contracts, you can just use those (anything other than IB). For example, @ES otherwise, you can put in the new futures symbol such as @ESH24 then select 'Backfill As.." on the backfill dropdown on the chart and backfill as @ESZ23 (the previous symbol). After it is done, repeat and do backfill as @ESH24 again

sorry, I misread. no built in hotkey for that, but would be easy enough to define a hotkey that computes the QTY same as the account default. What are your defaults set to?
