  1. 1) sure. FILE / SAVE LAYOUT 2) the saved layout is just a file so you can definitely copy it to another computer. You can load it and save however you like. Loading it on smaller screen would probably require some moving of windows after loading. 3) saved layout only has the window layouts and window specific settings. It does not have hotkeys, portfolios, etc. For that, you can export all your settings and copy them to the other pc and import them there. FILE / EXPORT and FILE / IMPORT for that.
  2. on the TRADING tab on the toolbar, 1) make sure trading is enabled and account selected. 2) click on Trading Settings and select the option to show position
  3. Oops, sorry, you are right. Order type is required in the ORDER action. If you just want to change the quantity and limit price, you can remove the default ORDER action and add a CHANGE ORDER action instead - bottom left.
  4. We will be adding Schwab once they get their API to us, which should be before May. There is a detailed thread about that at https://forums.medvedtrader.com/topic/5296-update-td-ameritrade-schwab-account-migration/ If your accounts are all there, BY FAR the easiest and best result option is to just open a new TD Ameritrade account. It will not be moved to Schwab until May 2024, and by that time Medved Trader will have Schwab integration. Specifically using this link: (otherwise the links on the site point to opening a Schwab account and make it difficult to find the link for TD Ameritrade) https://start.tdameritrade.com/select?entity=103 If you need it for just data, just opening one and funding minimal amount to keep it open would suffice. If you want to trade, I would open one that is the same type as your primary trading account and then just transfer the assets from the Schwab account to the new TD Ameritrade one. Would tie things up for a few days but then would be able to trade.
  5. whatever is in the hotkey would override. You can of course omit the order type in the hotkey, in which case the default would be used. Also note that in the example, I have it set to Drop=true, send=false. So it will fill in the trade ticket but not send the order. If you just want the order sent, reverse those.
  6. Button - you have it set to show a button with text "Buy 5K". on the chart, go to TRADING tab. Click on Trading Settings and select to show Order Types/Saved Orders If you don't want the order types shown and just want the saved orders, you can right click on the order types and unselect everything except the saved orders Now as far as Quantity, you can enter expressions in the "Quantity" field. so for $5000 at ASK you can enter: round(5000/Ask)
  7. we will be implementing integration with Schwab. there is a really long detailed thread on that:
  8. because raw data window is passive. it just shows data that is otherwise retrieved via other windows. Only charts and portfolios request data that is then stored. So either have the charts open, or a portfolio with the symbols.
  9. Level II is separate. quotes must be coming in either on portfolio or charts. you didnt answer my question...
  10. that means MT is not getting quotes on those. do you have those symbols in a portfolio that is currently open and getting quotes?
  11. you can set up a hotkey to send BUY orders at the ASK for $5000 and either assign a keyboard shortcut to it or flag it as a saved order and show it as a button.
  12. no, the scan selection is tied the the portfolio window. Not controllable by API, sorry
  13. are you referring to the box showing the data under the cursor - the current candle open, high, low etc.? don't have per chart option but you can turn off the Always show. Then, when you do need it, just hold down the SHIFT key when moving the mouse over the chart
  14. so you logged into R | Trader and selected the "Allow Plugins" during the login? I would need to see the log. Please send that: Go to FILE / HELP => Send Log/Settings to support menu (from Dashboard or Portfolio) And add this Post’s URL in the comment. As for the Questrade questions, I answered those in the other thread. and no, you do not need to do anything with Questrade in order to have Rithmic stuff work - totally independent.
  15. Questrade - you do not need to install anything other than MT to use MT with Questrade. MT sends the order to Questrade immediately when you submit it so there is no difference than using Questrade's own software. It too needs to do that. Any software would. So there would be no more delay with MT than any other method for order entry. As for Rithmic, I will address that in your other thread
  16. Hi, did you set it up per instructions at https://medvedtrader.com/rithmic ?
  17. #1 - order execution, etc - I will leave it for others that actually trade with it. #2 - FYI - dxFeed has the best Level II. If you use a subscription source, you will want to make the change in one more place specific to trading - SETTINGS / TRADING / ACCOUNTS - click on top level Questrade login line then on the right side, set Alternate Quote Source to whichever source you subscribed to. That way trading windows such as trade ticket and account view will use the subscription source for the data. #3 - NO, you do NOT mess with tokens etc. Just go to SETTINGS / TRADING / ACCOUNTS, click on the ADD button on top left and select Questrade. Then, click on the green button to validate and get accounts. MT will bring up a window with a Questrade login page where you login. You do not enter the login info into MT directly. #4 - Yes, definitely. MT just sends the orders to Questrade. They manage the orders and provide status updates wthat MT just shows to you. If you send and order and close MT entirely, the order will still be processed same as if MT was running. #5 - Yes, all that will work with Questrade. #6 - trial - email us and include your email address on the MT account and refer back to this post.
  18. Wise choice. Yes, assuming this is for quotes only, go to SETTINGS / DATA SOURCES / CONFIGURE ACCOUNTS - click on TD AMERITRADE in the list. And change the login on the right side If yo are still getting prompts about the old account, then make sure it is removed from trading: SETTINGS / TRADING / ACCOUNTS - Make sure that the old TD Ameritrade login is deleted.
  19. Projected Volume - estimate what the volume bar will be when it closes based on the volume so far within the bar. you can turn it off in the volume indicator properties
  20. if its just 2 charts, switching each with a keyboard shortcut is one keystroke - would be faster.
  21. no, cannot do that with sync option. Just save multiple layouts and switch between them
  22. thank you. I recreated it. when it drops it seems to initially drop the capsule at current price, then move it to where your hotkey specifies. That initial thing is what messes things up. Will need to fix.
