  1. Afraid it did it again today. Not sure what kicks off the cpu burn. Nothing I tried brought down the high use. Had to close , restart, which seems to have cured it for now
  2. lol, yeah, I know. been good for a few days, so might have been something anomalous.
  3. Just to keep things interesting, I did not have a problem today. I'll keep an eye on it
  4. Here's what I'm seeing. Startup MT , after a while high cpu usage (35% avg) . Stays high If I STOP a few port feeds (I only have three open) and restart them , the CPU usage drops to avg 15% or less and stays there. Make any sense as to why that would be? I should also mention I turn on a scan for these ports.
  5. hmmm. I can tell you IB is accurate, though amtd only shows the primary exchange, stupidly. I'm not aware of any source that doesn't supply b/a, If possible, I'd like to have access to the b/a , hopefully its not a big deal to add that .
  6. I'll try that , but if there was an issue with the data, I assume that might not fix it. I already have it set to compress tick data after 1 day. Does consolidate do more than that?
  7. I think I looked for this a while back and could not find it. I'd like a script to be able to access the current bid/ask size. Can we currently do this?
  8. Did those exclusions long ago. Microsoft Security Essentials. Had a hunch it might be the large SDATA file (up to 1.5 gig on my machine) or ,maybe some corrupted data in there So I deleted it and started fresh. Seems to have fixed the problem for now. Only reason I don't like deleting that, is you lose the intraday IB futures data going back more than 10 days.
  9. Seeing consistent high cpu in the last week, probably since the last build. Seems to come and go, but overall much more usage than normal (35-50% cpu for long periods)
  10. Here's how I use it. I have mini charts for all ports that I have open, so I need the backfill for them. I often start late in the morning, so I don't have the data . As for Scan, well, I'm having to remember to turn it on every day. I thought computers were supposed to make life easy ? I don't care if there's a delay before you autostart , but don't see why we can't do that, if the user requests it. I don't have 100's of stocks on display, so in my case the load is minimal.
  11. Maybe I missed it , but don't see how to automatically activate the loaded scan. Have to remember to manually turn them on . How about a setting for that . Be nice to automatically backfill open ports when MT is started as well, instead of having to HOTKEY each one. See no reason why that can't be done. If its server load, then why not just do it staggered on a delay. Don't have to make that a default, but an option.
  12. Thought the latest beta might fix this but no. Started recently, the LASTVOL column flashes the value and then goes blank again. Ameritrade only, not IB
  13. I have been using Dexpot, for MANY years, a very good virtual desktop program, that isn't really being supported much anymore (afaik) but works quite well on Windows 7, and probably Windows 10 . Pretty near everything works with it including Medvedtrader
  14. Just to answer, no, seems to be a prob with all symbols. I'll try to get the log sent
  15. No , only a few L2. Some days much worse than others, can't really say what the trigger is. Often , the L2 data will populate but NOT the L1 data. The data box above just stays at zero, no price or volume data

    Ameritrade L2

I've seen a pretty consistent issue with the loading of an Ameritrade L2 box for some time (years). I often have to re-enter a symbol more than once to get the data to load. It's as if the first call to the server fails. Timeout? Only L2 Ameritrade seems to have an issue, no other problems on the platform resembling that. Wonder is anyone else has seen the issue.
  17. I think its even less than that , really a trickle. I'll try a subset , maybe the s&p 500, and see if it works any better I take it thats 2000 in total. Shame you cant access the same streaming news that thinkorswim uses.
  18. two sets of comma delimited, seems to total 4886 , or at least thats the number showing in the SOURCES screen under NEWS Overload at that amount? Would it totally break everything, and not cut off at some number?
  19. Having trouble getting news to deliver much of anything from Ameritrade. Have large symbol lists (1000's) that are supposed to cause news for those to print. Very little actually flows . I assume thats the DJCNEWS source., Probably getting less than 1/10 of % of the news that shows on the thinkorswim platform feed Yahoo seems to work. And the new ally news, also , very little from that . Got a blast when I started up , and then nothing for 4 hours. I know this isn't right ..
  20. Right, I knew I needed advanced. I'm confused as to the format of how to compare timestamp to a specific time of day. IF (timestamp > 9:00 ) do something I tried something that and was getting errors but not enough info to know what was wrong.
  21. I see you don't expose bar time in the simple editor ( as far as I can tell) , so I'm trying to get the TIMESTAMP variable to work , but not being a C programmer, and there being few examples here, I'm running into brick walls. I know this is simple. Need to compare bar time to a fixed time or range of times. Don't need date.
  22. Funds showing today in MT. Strange though, seeing the "D" indicator on quotes even though they are actually realtime (compared with my other rt feeds)
  23. works. Don't need that for the others, so who new ?
