  1. I added Multiplier handling to symbols. Updated the docs: http://forums.medvedtrader.com/index.php?/topic/1263-medved-trader-beta-instructions/ Will email you with the intraday build
  2. Giving it a new symbol would just be too easy. IB has to go with the multiplier. I will need to look at it. Since it is not trading yet, I assume there is no quote, so can't really test right now. Do you by chance know of another symbol that is only distinguished by the multiplier?
  3. @jetty, could you email me your settings and a chart showing where you expected the alert to trigger? Also, I assume you created the alert prior to that point? (MT doesn't do backtesting type alerts). Please do the following: go to FILE / Export Settings. Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file please.
  4. right now MT just has the crossing alert. We will be adding custom alerts, and there you will be able to do stuff like "if LAST > XYZ alert.."
  5. right click on the caption. Set default, and set default for all options should be in the system menu

    Download

You can get MT beta at http://www.medvedtrader.com/download Instructions are on that page as well. For IB, you need to have TWS running and you need to enable the API in TWS settings. Once that is done, MT should be able to connect. If you have any problems getting connected to TWS, let me know and I can go into more detail
  7. you can get it at http://www.medvedtrader.com/download/ Instructions are on that page as well
  8. if it can run .NET 4.5, MT will work on it. The following should work: Windows Vista Windows 7 Windows 8, 8.1 Windows 10 Microsoft has various flavors of server OS and MT will work on those (same .NET 4.5 requirement), but I am assuming you are just asking about regular desktop versions
  9. Backfill data from most sources is 1 minute OHLC, so sub-minute bars are not possible. MT (and QT for that matter) store backfilled data as 4 points per minute - one for each Open, High, Low, and Close for the minute. IQFeed has tick backfill. some others soon too.
  10. the new version does not address this. I got the file. Did not have a chance to look at it yet. will do
  11. I got your log. Basically data got corrupted when you crashed in one of your previous sessions. After you got the error above, you restarted and MT cleaned up the issue so you should be good to go going forward.
  12. go to FILE / Export Settings. Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file please.
  13. are you getting quotes on the symbol in question? If not, the alert will not trigger
  14. do you have MT set to "Annotations Unique per chart" on SETTINGS / CHARTS / GENERAL ? if they are unique, then each chart has its own drawings, even if two charts are for the same symbol. a "pinned" or linked chart is considered separate from a regular unpinned chart. When you initially pin a chart, MT copies the annotations from the unpinned chart settings to the new pinned one, so you should not lose the settings. Not sure where you would lose stuff. Could you go step by step exactly what you draw and click on to get the lines to disappear and then: go to FILE / Export Settings. Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file please.
  15. on the portfolio window, click on the VIEW tab. There are Load and Save layout options. You can save a layout, then on each window, load it. Another option is to configure one portfolio the way you want it, then right click on the caption and select Set As Default, or if you want to reset all of them that may have already been opened and thus have their own settings, then select Set "As Default for all"
  16. In MT select File/Import and select the QT POST. XML file Or if you just type QT for the file name and hit enter, MT should find it
  17. And MT if you use IB as the source?
  18. NBBO is not aggregated. It is just the best order. Not the total size of all the orders at the price. We don't make the rules
  19. That was an interface to some server data that TD Ameritrade killed years ago, so there's no way we can implement it
  20. Yahoo is delayed data - no bid/ask
  21. we are just showing what is being returned. Not computing it, so nothing we can do. In general, the Level I bid/ask and bid/ask size are the NBBO, so it would definitely not match up to the total # of orders on the level II at any particular level, and as far as comparing to the top row in Level II, that depends on the selected sorting on L II
  22. ok, so for your purposes, the only issue with what we have now is that you cannot dock it, leaving it visible when you minimize the rest?
  23. FYI, as of the latest release, E*Trade US is now supported for streaming Level I data
