  3. we don't have anything special in the charts to keep zero or any other value in the center. MT sets the Y axis range based on the range of the data that needs to be displayed. It is relatively easy to force the chart to show from -500 to 500. Just add two "Horizontal Line" Indicators, set them to show absolute values, one at 500, one at -500. Set both to Adjust scale.
  4. Ok if you see this happen again, note the exact symbol and the exact time it happened, send me the log / settings, and include the symbol and time that the issue occurred. That will help me find the area of the log to look into.
  5. not quite following you. Level I does not update where? Portfolio? Level II window? Chart? Level II data - does it or doesn't it update? Is the symbol you are changing to on the portfolio getting quotes at the same time?
  6. I know there are issues with TradeKing via API right now. The login page in question is direct from their servers. We have no control over that.

  8. Yes, there is a problem on their server end. I reported this to them earlier today and they are working on resolving the issues.

  10. MT does that now, though the max is higher than 5. But to validate, I have to check if the file exists every time the list is populated. That can create it's own issues (removable media, temporary outages on external media, Network, etc) and can have performance issues. Don't want to change it.
  11. there is no explicit way to clear the recent files. However, if you select one where the file was deleted, MT will show you a message about that, and then it will remove that entry from the list.
  12. I checked and "US Equity Markets showed everything is working correctly. Could you send me your settings, as well as a screenshot of the chart, with the VIEW tab on the ribbon showing so I can recreate your setup here to see what you are seeing? go to FILE / Export Settings. Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file please.

  17. Jim, I can send you a link, but it won't work very much longer. Maybe till January or so. After that, once we update the servers, it will not be able to login.
  18. this basically means that MT is not able to create a key data file. What OS are you using? What security software? Are you logged in as Admin? Is there free disk space available?

  20. OCO - we plan to implement this, but has not yet been done. Portfolio window priority - we intentionally set it by default so child windows (Charts, Level II, Raw Data) are on top of portfolio windows. The default also does not show separate icons on task bar for the child windows. That is related. If the charts were not on top, they could get hidden behind the portfolios without an easy way to find them. Yes, you can change the setting for both the On top and the icons on task bar. Go to SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL. On there, there are boxes for Child Windows on Top Separate Task Bar Icon for Child Windows Separate Task Bar Icon for Portfolio

  22. Margin warning - that is coming direct from TradeKing servers. Balances - do you see balances on the Account View, Balances tab? On the trade ticket, what do you see ? no fields at all,, or the fields are all 0? right now for Margin accounts, I show Day Trade BP, Stock BP, Option BP (if not zero) and Cash available for Withdrawal. For CASH accounts, just showing Cash Available. Other stuff - can you send me the log file please: go to FILE / Export Settings. Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file please. As for why etc, the way stuff works internally is different for the two. TK does not have streaming account updates for example, so MT needs to poll the server. I have to check further based on what I see in the log file.
  23. Numeric columns have custom justification in MT - the decimals line up. So cannot do other justification. You can control the decimal alignment setting. On SETTINGS / APPEARANCE scren, on the bottom there is "Decimal Alignment - # of Integer digits" setting. That controls how many digits MT allocates room for on the left of the decimal point.
