colors - you can go to SETTINGS / CHARTS / Color Sets screen. You cannot change the built in color sets, but what you can do is copy one and then edit the copy. Give a name to the copied color set. Once done editing, change the color set on the chart to the one you just created. As for portfolio, that is not the same thing - there is only one dashboard. There can be many portfolios. May add the button somewhere on the ribbon though to find one or more. You would then be able to add it to the QAT

that is definitely deliberate. Separate chart indicators tend to be just one indicator per panel, so there are no conflicts if you pre-define the colors. Indicators on the main chart however are usually there together with other indicators. We have MT auto assign colors. If we didn't do that, then there is a high likelihood that when adding indicators, you would have multiple with the same color.

Default settings for MT will keep the charts and other Sub Windows (Level II, Raw Data) on top of portfolios and only the portfolios will have icons on the taskbar. The on top option is needed so you don't lose the windows since they don't have their own icons. You can change all that. If you go to SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL screen you can change: Sub Windows On Top... - if you uncheck this, the charts and other sub windows will not stay on top of the portfolio If yo do that, you may also want to CHECK: Separate Task bar Icon for Child Windows I need to change the wording to be consistent there

Not really. I had to jump through some hoops to have the 2 items always next to each other (for trading). It is basically in the order that the items were added. I can implement it, but not sure what the UI would be that would be consistent across the different windows. Basically need a way to launch the QAT Reorder screen.... suggestions welcome.

We made it so the # of digits shown on indicators is one more than the dynamic # of digits the chart uses for the Price value. So if you are watching AAPL which trades over 100, the price will show 2 digits. The indicator values will show 3. If you switch to XOMA trading around 3, there will be 3 digits after the decimal on the price and 4 on the indicators.

in TWS, you have to enable API. in TWS, go to EDIT / GLOBAL CONFIGURATION menu On the screen that comes up, click on API on the left side (about half way down), then click on SETTINGS on the right side. On the API SETTINGS screen, check the box for "Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients" at the top. Leave everything else as default. On the bottom, there is a section for Trusted IP Addresses. Add 127.0.0.1 Once you do that and apply or hit OK, you should be able to connect with MT

with IB, you don't enter login into MT. You have to start TWS and enable the API in TWS. And preferably, specify 127.0.0.1 as a "Safe IP Address", though that part is optional (that way TWS will not prompt every time MT has to connect). Then MT just connects to TWS. So login occurs in TWS and MT connects to whatever account you logged in with into TWS.

we have settings that control # of digits for Price. However, for indicators, the value can legitimately be more precise than the # of digits shown for price, which is where the issue comes in. Will see.

as far as the values showing, I fixed it. Get the update from the same URL I sent you earlier. As for your color issues, something else is wrong. I need to get the log file to see what the problem is. Please do the following: go to FILE / Export Settings. Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file as well as the backup you used previously to restore.

if Smart Source Selector is selected for backfill for example, MT will try to find the best choice for the backfill source. It will look at currently active streamers that support backfill to see if they are already streaming the symbol. If not, it will check ones that are active but not streaming the symbol. If not, then go on to ones that are configured (but not active) that support backfill. It is particularly useful if using multiple datafeeds in different portfolios.

If the "Highlight Indicator when mouse hovers....." checkbox is selected, I added a 4th checkbox to be dependent on it - "Hand Cursor". So if that is checked and you move the mouse over the indicator, it will show the hand cursor. Otherwise, the regular chart crosshair cursor will be used. Emailed you the intraday build with that.

IB - Yes, only real-time quotes from IB. If you do not subscribe for a particular exchange and try to get quotes, if you use their TWS, it will get you delayed data, but via the API which MT has to use, it can only get the real-time stuff. IB Backfill is for 10 days. MT though can store whatever you want. (well, up to 120) so as time goes by, it will build up the data.

No. the double click on the main chart will maximize the chart. You can manually enlarge individual indicator panels, but there is nothing to automatically enlarge it.

Yahoo and Google are NOT real-time or streaming. the quotes for Yahoo are auto refresh. Both are delayed.
