Chart settings are in the main "User Settings (Roaming)" configuration that is shown when you go to import. After you restore, are the custom color sets not available in the SETTINGS or is it just that the charts are not selecting them by default?
Right now IB and IQFeed are the only other options. Only way to reduce the cost for IQFEED is if you have an IB account - there is something about eliminating exchange fees. IQFeed support guys would know the details.
@alextrader777,
I just emailed you.
MT is beta. Probably more stable than many production programs .
Once installed, MT does have self updating. When we update the current version, MT will prompt you to update next time it starts and will handle the update itself (you don't have to go to our site to download the update, etc). MT does NOT add anything to run in the background of your windows install (hate it when developers do that)

You can configure spin increments to be whatever you want on a per account basis.
Go to SETTINGS / TRADING / ACCOUNTS
Select the account you are trading in from the list.
on the RIGHT side, click on SPIN INCREMENTS tab
The default is that stuff trading under 10 will increment 0.01, but securities that are trading between 10 and 100 are going to increment in 0.05. You can change that to be whatever you want, or add your own thresholds
sorry, don't think I am following you. What symbol is deleted? Do you mean on the trade panel? If so, you can change it so MT does not clear the trade panel after the trade is sent.
Go to SETTINGS / TRADING / GENERAL
UN-Check the box for "Clear Trade Ticket after successful order submission
Just emailed you.
Beta was launched a while ago (over a year). Yes, MT can integrate with multiple brokers, though right now the list is limited. For US Brokers, we have TD Ameritrade, Interactive Brokers, TradeKing and soon Tradier.
if you go to the FILE / HELP / ABOUT menu, the screen will show you various locations used by MT. SDATA.BIN is in the "LOCAL" directory. You can click on it there.
Consolidate - you can go to SETTINGS / CHARTS / GENERAL - and there is a checkbox there to consolidate next time MT starts.
Uninstall won't do anything unless I find out what is wrong and change it first.
I need to get the log file to see what the problem is. Please zip up and email me the MTLOG.LOG file in the following folder:
C:\Users\<Your Windows Login here>\AppData\Local\2GK\Medved Trader\
Yes, Intraday and Historical. Intraday can do max 120, though for performance reasons I would lower that if you don't need it (defaults to 60). EOD shows however many are returned by the datafeed. Not sure how far back IQFeed goes back. At least 30 years I believe.
Mr.Margin,
MT does not ignore any Level II entries. It is showing exactly what is returned by TWS API. And thats where the issue is. Basically, there is no request that we can make via the IB's API that will return the same data that is visible in TWS.
The settings in MT that control how IB data is requested for Level II are:
"Subscribed to TotalView"
"Subscribed to NYSE Open Book"
You would have to have those checked in settings if you are subscribed to them for MT to use it, but you will still see differences
