Paper trading account has a separate login, and thus separate settings. You have to make sure that all the API settings are set correctly and match what is in MT. That includes Enabling API, making sure the Socket PORT is the same, and that it is not set to read only

Albert, I am not quite following what you did. Did you highlight 50 symbols and hit CTRL+H? what did you do exactly. I don't really understand exactly what the issue is As far as closing, I need to get the log file to see what the problem is. Please do the following: go to FILE / Export/Backup menu (from Dashboard or Portfolio) Select “To share with others” export file protection option on top right Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file please.

Do "Hist Backfill", not just regular intraday backfill

MT should be able to import the portfolios, but things like charts, alerts, etc - can't. you can run QT and MT side by side and configure things pretty quickly though.

that would be very easy to do in the new Paintbars. We did not yet release them (just have a handful of people testing) but should have them released at least in beta before the end of the month)

Ok, the difference between IDLE and STREAMING is just whether or not there are any symbols subscribed. note that on the 2nd row, you have 0 in the L1 column. For trading streamer, that is normally 0/1 Please send me log file (same way you did before). I need to see whats going on.. Can't think of the top of my head why that would happen.

No group function yet (may actually have that in not too distant future) Doing multiple instances is just not feasible. It would require way too many changes to support. If the # of charts/windows is not too big, switching layouts may be feasible (would probably be too slow if many windows)

Brync, MT does not have ALLOWDUP. for the most part there really isn't a reason to run multiple instances of MT. You can have many portfolios and charts open at the same time, and you are not restricted to trading one account at a time, so you can do everything from one instance. If you have a problem doing something within one instance of MT, please let me know.

Tedd, The color sets for the portfolio are drastically more complicated than the charts, which is why we did not make them editable, though if you feel like messing with it, I can give you an unencrypted copy of the file that you can then add your color set to. The font size changes by 0.5 in MT. I really have not seen anywhere else that changes by less than that. It is pretty standard.

The reason you can't figure it out is because the paintbars have not been released yet. The Pb management button on the dashboard got in there by accident. It is gone in the beta release, unless explicitly enabled for the specific account If you want to help test it, email us at support@medvedtrader.com The syntax is different than QT. Our new Paintbars use C# syntax. Though the rules you indicated don't even need to get to that. Will be able to do that with just the "Simple" mode

that is correct. MT can only operate on what it gets from the feed.

Yes, and supposedly they return Avg Volume, and though MT will record it if sent, we don't actually see it sent

on chart, MT is calculating the ticks per bar. The portfolio column on the other hand just shows whatever the datafeed returns for that value and not all datafeeds return that data.
