  1. Don't know what to tell you. I click on the Search tab. Type in dividend and hit enter. I get 2 entries I click on the index tab and type dividend and it immediately moves to "Dividends" within the list.
  2. No, we I searched for "Dividend" singular. It found Dividends plural. Both online and the help file that comes with MT.
  3. What does "reduce" mean? As for the dashboard disappearing, do you by chance have "AUTO MINIMIZE" selected? (Upper right corner of the dashboard)
  4. I am referring to how charts are displayed - Stockcharts is popular but certainly not the only one. I brought up MT help. Typed in "Dividend". First thing that came up was "Adjusting Historical Charts for Dividends" which is exactly what you want. https://www.medvedtrader.com/trader/WebHelp/adjusting_for_dividends.htm?zoom_highlightsub=dividend
  5. By default MT does not adjust for dividends. However, you can turn it on in MT on the chart VIEW tab, OPTION dropdown. Most sources do not adjust for dividends. Not sure what the default is on Stockcharts.
  6. Look at the bottom right. just above the APPLY button
  7. You can do alerts on indicators using Paintbars, However, note that for Paintbar alerts to work the chart with the paintbar must be open. So if you have 20 symbols that you want to monitor, all 20 charts would have to be open. They can be minimized though.
  8. A minimized chart is an open chart. As for finding them - You can change the Dashboard view to WINDOWS. The open MT windows will be shown in there and you can double click to bring them up or right click and select Close. You can also set MT so that charts and other child windows will have their own Taskbar icon. That is in SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL
  9. Got a response back from GAIN. You should be all set. Give it a try
  10. Don't have a way to change it on charts. It's on my to do list
  11. emailed them - you should be all set shortly.
  12. or if you want, I can take care of it.
  13. y, you need to first authorize MT for your account. Gain doesn't have us on their portal yet, so you have to email them to do that (very quick turnaround). Just email Send an email to gfsupport@gaincapital.com – ask them to enable particular accounts (give them the usernames) for both UUIDs of Medved Trader. Do tell them whether the accounts are live, simulated or developer. NOTE: unlike most programs, MT has TWO UUIDS with Gain – one for quotes and one for trading. They need to enable for both, so it is best to make sure to explicitly specify.
  14. Yep, thus the "most places" comment. Chart indicators do not use that setting intentionally. As for P&L, we do not read IB's P&L values. the stuff shown in MT is MT computed and is the unrealized P&L for the current day.
  15. if you have TDA Selected for quotes, there wouldn't be a refresh button. Only would show up if you select Yahoo. Being that Market Cap does not significantly change from day to day, you probably don't need to do this every day, unless you clear data. MT stores whatever data it has. Delayed flag staying there - if the quote from TDA is not newer than the one already there, it wouldn't update and thus the delayed flag (would usually happen either on slow stocks or after hours). Don't worry about it.
  16. backfill is completely irrelevant. It gets historical data for charts. nothing else. The data you are looking for comes from the regular Level I quotes. Are you getting the quotes from Yahoo? quotes on? Refresh. (there is a refresh button on top left of the portfolio, right where Yahoo should be selected). If it doesn't work, indicate which exact symbol this is for.
  17. You can change it for most places. Go to SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL and in "Date & Numeric Formats" change the setting for Prices from the current value to #,###,###,##0.00
  18. move mouse over X Axis, click and drag to the left
  19. It may not work on some non-time based charts
  20. sure. that is what Paintbars are for
  21. Google is not available as a quote source, so that is irrelevant. SmartSource option is for backfill, not quotes - again irrelevant. The quote sources that have that data right now are: IQFeed Stockwatch TradeKing RBC Yahoo - only if you do NOT have the option checked to use HTML quotes.
  22. You have raw data filtered. If you turn off the filtering, you will notice that there are negative volume entries which would be due to data coming in from multiple datafeeds at the same time. I will look at the log you sent to get more detail
  23. If I remember correctly, that icon is updated on first quote. are you sure the quotes update? What source and what symbols in the portfolio when that happens?
