  1. wouldn't be the first time Mike was wrong
  2. QuoteTracker is no longer our software (not since late 2006). TD Ameritrade has stopped supporting it. We don't either. As for MT, the software itself is basically ready for release now. the hold up is the web site side of things,
  3. You don't need to disable IB. Just select IQFeed as the quote source on top of the portfolio window, in the Source drop-down List.
  4. the limitation is at a very low level, so cannot dynamically increase it. Plus, its not just an issue of increasing the max. There is also the issue of getting the data. The datafeeds don't have 999 days of intraday backfill data
  5. Rob, re: the PS - don't worry about it - really. We have VERY tough skins. Otherwise, I would have killed Mike years ago. As for what you described, that is intended functionality. When the frequency is an hour multiple, each candle must start on the hour. Otherwise, things don't line up. However, assuming you have the chart set to not show extended hours, the first candle shows as starting on the hour, but the actual data still starts at 9:30. that is pretty much the standard way of handling that. Alternative would be to start every candle on the :30 but then you would have similar issue on the end, and it is better to have the hourly candles line up on the hour
  6. if you turn off Real-time Updates, MT will show whatever the datafeed returns without modifying it, which should be official close. In the case of IB, you would have to set the corresponding Backfill option to be RTH only on SETTINGS screen, account config...
  7. Look at Display options on the VIEW tab of the Portfolio window. You can get stuff like: and
  8. Don't we already have that? If you have Show Indicator Values set for the given indicator and are showing the trace cursor/box, as you move the cursor over the candles, MT shows you the values of each of the indicators at that candle
  9. I am not following. What exactly are you asking for?
  10. for custom indicators, yes. for Paintbars, probably, but we have to do that first
  11. we are not going to work on that till after the web site is done, so we can release.
  12. There are practical limitations - With more data, things get bogged down.
  13. the whole point of that floating logo is to give access to MT when it is not active, so by design it has to be on top. You can hide it though. On the dashboard, select the SETTINGS menu, and Un-check the "Show Floating Logo" menu
  14. The only way to significantly speed this up would be to use a streaming data feed. The only one that I think supports AU is Interactive Brokers.
  15. As Mike mentioned - would rather have screenshots. We would be open to adding other display options for the various events. Though getting to TWS to see it is problematic. 1) I don't really know where in their stuff to even turn it on. 2) I can't even get to TWS right now. Could you email me screenshots of what you are looking for?
  16. that only works if the grid is un-sorted. You can turn sorting on by clicking on one of the column headers. Clicking again reverses the sort. Clicking 3rd time turns it off. So just click on one of the columns till sorting is turned off (the arrow on the column will go away)
  17. Etrade AU is configured for up to 3 requests per 4 sec period, up to 7 symbols per request, so a minute is about right.
  18. Dorian, I just emailed you the instructions. For the purposes of getting the data, you can use Yahoo as the quote source
  19. We have no problem with you running it on multiple machines. As for moving stuff from one to the other, you would want to: 1) install MT on the new machine (same URL) 2) on the Old machine, run MT, then select FILE / Export Settings. Select the option on top left to export specifically for your account. 3) copy the exported file to the new machine 4) run MT and login using the same login ( your email/password) as you did on the old one 5) select FILE / Import 6) Select the exported file you copied from the old machine and import.
