we allow diagonal rendline alerts on intraday charts. The horizontal restriction is only on Historical charts. We cannot accurately extrapolate the diagonal trendline on a historical chart without the historical data there and since the historical data does not get updated every minute or any time for that matter when the historical chart is not open, we would not be able to trigger the alert unless the chart that had the alert line was open. That is not an accceptable situation. With horizontal lines on the historical charts, no extrapolation is needed and therefore we can trigger the alerts based just on the intraday data, regardless of what chart windows are open. Jerry

Compare Symbol indicator parameters - the index functionality is not done yet. $TICKQ data - if you look at the raw data for the symbol, are the rows there? are they marked as filtered? (strike through font) as for the data not accumulating when you open the chart for the $TICKQ symbol, please open the main dashboard. On it, switch it to display SOURCES (tab on top). Note which datafeeds are listed with the values in the L1 column and the # shown there. Now open the $TICKQ chart. Did any of the datafeeds change? Please export and send me your settings so I can try it out here.

It is the main window in MT. You can have no portfolios open yet have charts and others open. Every program has to have a main window. In QT it was the main portfolio. but it acted different from 2nd portfolio window and that is problematic. Also, MT Dashboard window has other functionality, (SOURCES and WINDOWS displays) You can set MT to have separate task bar icons for portfolio windows. You can then restore by clicking on the portfolio icon that you want. Or, right click on the notification area icon and select to restore the windows.

the main dashboard window is required, though you can just minimize it. If you have the floating Logo visible, but don't like it, that you can hide.

with the default settings, the chart are supposed to stay on top. I will cover some quick solutions first go to MT SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL screen. In the "Other" section, you can check the box for "Separate Task Bar Icon for Child Windows (Charts, etc...) I assume you have "Child Windows on Top" checkbox already checked, right? Now when the problem occurs, click on the chart's icon on the task bar. Does it come up? and does clicking on the portfolio again hide the chart? If it does, close the chart and re-open it. Does that fix it? This is not supposed to happen. Since you seem to be able to get it to happen somewhat regularly, can you let me know what you do to get it to occur? any particular steps that you notice doing before it happens?

it seems to show incorrectly if you have the chart set to show extended hours. If you set Ext. Hours to NEVER, it works OK. Will look further into this. [EDIT] seems to happen with Ext. Hours set to CURRENT DAY, but not ALWAYS

First, if the Annotations Unique Per charts option is set, the annotations will only show on the one chart that is drawn, not any other. If unchecked, then the annotation will show on other similar charts. Annotations cannot be shared between intraday and historical charts. And even if unique option is selected, charts with completely different chart types will not share annotations (the way the lines are anchored, etc has to be completely different)

TS Backtest - definitely not something that will happen in 2016. Neither is ATS Excel add-in - we are not doing one, but that is kind of tied to the API as far as 3rd party plugins

I think you are missing something. Assuming the focus is on the news list (click on it), you should be able to do that. NOTE However that I also added the "Mark All Read" button on the ribbon (you can add it to QAT and hide the ribbon if you don't want it visible all the time)

As for settings lost, if you can send me one of your backup files from prior to the update, it would help

You can drop orders right on the chart. See orders and positions on the chart. Change order price by just dragging the order Capsule (or line). Right click to change order type, TIF, Special Instructions. Double click on Price (if you don't want to drag) or QTY to make changes One click order cancel Modify the orders by just dragging them. Auto-Transmit available. This is the one feature that can change the way you trade!!! I will post some pictures soon but meanwhile, the HELP has been updated. Go to Chart window, Click on TRADING tab and check the button to enable it, and you are all set.

IB is sending some odd data during a period when there isn't supposed to be any trading for ES. You have the chart set to show extended hours "Always", so it is showing that data, and it messes things up. If you change the ext. hours to "NEVER" for @ESH16 it will be OK. I will adjust our timeframe to define the rollover closer to the start time, but even so, their live data actually sent a big jump too.

You cannot change it in one click. There is a global setting on SETTINGS/APPLICATION/APPEARANCE in the GRID section for "Select Whole Row"

changing timeframes wouldn't change the data, but would change how it is displayed and sub-totaled. I need to get the log file and data file to see what the problem is. will update the help file. The QuoteTrend is the same basically as on QT Quote Trend: Ten color coded bars that indicate the direction of the latest quotes. Each bar denotes a bid, ask or both. The latest bar is added to the right as the trend scrolls to the left. The column starts out with a series of dots that are replaced by the colored bars shown below as each new quote comes in. If there is no change in the trend, the dot will remain displayed in that position if the option Show Unchanged QuoteTrend is checked in the right click menu on the QuoteTrend column: If either the bid or the ask price is up, a GREEN bar is added. If either the bid or the ask price is down, a RED bar is added. If the bid price is up and the ask price is down, the top half of the bar is RED and the bottom half is GREEN. If the bid price is down and the ask price is up, the top half of the bar is GREEN, and the bottom half is RED. If both the bid and ask prices are up, a bright GREEN bar is added. If both the bid and ask prices are down, a bright RED bar is added.

I backfilled here and don't see any problem (tried with IB and IQFeed). What exact timeframe is selected on the chart (VIEW tab)? Which datafeed? (I tried with CME GLOBEX and CME GLOBEX Regular hours)
