  1. right now we cannot have those edited inline, though sometime in the future, will look. However, you do not need to go to the dashboard to get to the portfolio editor. We give you multiple ways to get to it right on the portfolio window. 1) There is (by default) an "Edit Portfolios" button in the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar - shows on left side of the portfolio caption). Looks like a grid with a pencil pointing to it. 2) If you have the ribbon toolbar open, note that the stuff there is in groups. The first group is "Portfolio" where you have the Portfolio dropdown list as well as the quote source dropdown list. look on the bottom right of the group. Noe that there is a little box with an arrow there. Clicking on it will also bring up the portfolio editor In both cases, the portfolio editor will come up with the current portfolio already selected. As for the dashboard, if you do need to get to it, in most cases you can just use the Dropdown Dashboard. hit the F12 key on almost any MT window or the 4 color button on top right of the window. If you wish to bring up the main dashboard window (it lets you see more stuff, like sources, Open windows, etc) you can hit SHIFT+F12 on any window.
  2. For anyone else seeing this post, 2 issues found: 1) on Windows 7 (but not on Win 10), we needed to do some special permissions to allow for an HTTP server. For production version, you can just run MT As Admin and that will take care of it. 2) there was a bug on our end if creating new portfolios. Adding symbols with HGSI to existing portfolios was working Both issues will be addressed in future builds.
  3. that should be all. If after closing settings, you come back to that screen, the checkbox is still checked, right? Is HGSI running on the same computer as MT? Do you have QT running at the same time? Do you use any security software that may be blocking MT? If still not able to resolve the issue, I need to get the log file to see what the problem is. Please do the following: go to FILE / Export/Backup menu (from Dashboard or Portfolio) Select “To share with others” export file protection option on top right Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE.   4. You can select FILE / EXPORT and export the settings. You can set the default save location to be one for something like Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive, etc. then import on the other computer. to change the default save location, go to SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL...
  5. The stop order is sent to the broker right away. It is the broker that would trigger the limit order once the stop is hit.

  7. MT does not currently have automated trading. However, what you describe is just a simple BUY STOP LIMIT order. You place the order with a stop at 7.15 limit of 7.20 and hit BUY. Most people tend to use stop limits for sells, but they work for buying as well. you can place the stop limit with chart trading. Drop the trade capsule on the chart at where the LIMIT price will be. Then right click on it and change it to Stop Limit. You can then drag where you want the STOP to be. Note that MT shows 2 lines - one for stop, one for limit. you can adjust the actual lines on the chart independently. Dragging the capsule adjusts the STOP We don't currently have combo orders, though plan to do that. Right now you would place the order to open the position, then once it fills you can place another order for the stop.

  10. y, that is because when you backfill, MT updates the volume to what it got from the backfill. But when the quote comes in, it has delayed volume

  12. Level II stuff is completely separate. Raw Data, Portfolio and Charts however are tied together. The raw data is showing BACKFILLED data only. IQFeed portfolio is showing that the symbol is delayed. I suspect that is the problem. You probably used TDA for backfill (which updates up to the minute) but the IQFeed is delayed so no further updates for 15 min. The question I guess is why those symbols are delayed. You would want to check with IQFeed guys about the subscription on your account and any exchange agreements.

  14. that is the problem. if delayed, then MT will not be able to get the data. Check with IB about which subscription you need from them
  15. assuming you logged in after signup, are you using 2 different emails?
  16. I checked @GCZ16 with IB just now. Works fine. If you enter the GC future in TWS, are you getting real-time update there or delayed?
  17. You can rearrange the tiles all you want, but as far as them snapping, that I cannot change.

  22. You know you can right click on that text in the error box and copy.... Issue is not with servers. Error in MT. Will fix.
