  1. set it to 1 day. as for shorter time periods, will look basically it is supposed to be exactly the same as regular intraday charts set to "Line" type (not line Tick) with 1 min frequency and same period (5 min frequency on 2 day ones). Seems that there is a difference in some situations.
  2. ok, let me check and get back to you in a bit.
  3. It is the TDA internal designation for the "Upgraded" accounts. Original TDA accounts are considered "Green". Then, if the account is upgraded like for futures or some other stuff, it is considered "Orange". Well, up until recently, ORANGE accounts did not work in MT (or QT) at all. They now work in MT, but some functionality like the routing and special instructions does not work. If you do not need the features added for the "Upgraded" accounts such as futures trading/quotes, you can call TDA and ask them to switch your account to be "Green" account. The following day when you login, it should be OK.
  4. Hmm, for some reason, I do not get that and some other headlines that you do - maybe account specific, don't know. Yes, will need log, BUT would need it with Logging set to 200. Could you stop IQFeed quotes, change log level to 200 on the dashboard. Then switch dashboard view to SOURCES. Click on TFOTW, then RIGHT-Click and select Force Re-Login. Wait 20 sec or so, then you can switch logging level back to 10 and re-start IQFeed and export the log and send it to me. Thanks Jerry
  5. no, do not. You would want to just include that in the commissions
  6. ok found the problem. The really weird thing is not that it didn't work for you, but that it DID work for me when I ran it.
  7. Can you please send me the log again, WITH settings.
  8. You know, it might be an issue of WHEN the datafeed updates the lastvol. if it is not in the same update record as the VOLUME, you might get bid/ask/last vol change but not the volume and the new check I put in for volume might be filtering it out. In which case, would need to remove that. or at least tweak it somehow.
  9. depending on the alert, you may get more or less triggered alerts. Quotes are aggregated, so you may get less triggers on smaller sizes, but more on larger sizes since 10 x 100 might now show as 2x500
  10. because if the setting was set, there would be different requests made, which show in the log
  11. It was definitely not the update. It was not on before the update occurred.
  12. I replied to your email. High/low - don't see any problem. Though obviously if the alert is deleted, that would explain you not getting it triggered. Trade Size - you are using TDA without the streaming tick quotes selected, so the trade size alert will not be accurate. Other than that, I do not see any issue. To check further, I would need the exact alert you expect to fire - you have a lot so just looking for "something" wrong in the log is like a needle in a haystack.
  13. 1) do this by email, not via posts here 2) send me the edited file so I can look
  14. I c. Yes, docking (which is what would be needed) is on the todo list.
  15. MT does not currently have the docking option. you can minimize windows in MT independently, as long as you do not do "minimize all". We do have a todo iten to add significant improvement - window grouping functionality
  16. No ticker tape. MT has something else. You can set a portfolio window to display as Tiles instead of the usual quote grid. Then just hide the ribbon and status bar and resize it however you want. If you resize the window so one row of tiles is shown horizontally, that is basically close to ticker tape. But no scrolling. Go to our web site's "Features" page here: https://www.medvedtrader.com/www/frontend/feature#8 - and click on that portfolios illustration to see it in more detail.
  17. Next time it happens, do this (before restarting): On the dashboard, bottom right – set the logging level to 200 Hit REFRESH on the portfolio window and wait 1 minute. If no quotes, then go to FILE / Export Settings. Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check LOG FILE. Export, then email me the exported file AND all the YAHOO_* files located in this folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\2GK\Medved Trader\Temp\Streamers which is same as C:\Users\<Your Windows Login>\AppData\Local\2GK\Medved Trader\Temp\Streamers Jerry Medved 2GK, Inc / Medved Trader
  18. I can confirm that @ESH16 works with Yahoo
  19. sorry about that. got distracted with something and forgot to send. Just emailed
  20. we plan to add alerts on indicators in the future.
  21. They seem to hook into the C# runtime environment and monitor every line of code that executes. That adds huge overhead. For your everyday programs that just have a few windows and in general don't use much CPU, that is not a problem. However, when doing a lot of computations and in general heavily using the CPU, that becomes a huge problem. MT does a performance check at the start. Normally, it takes 15 to 25 milliseconds on most computers. When Microsoft stuff is causing problems, the same check will take 1400 milliseconds. Needless to say it makes the program run extremely sluggishly. Not all security software cause the problems. Microsoft stuff and sometimes BitDefender just seem to be the most common culprits.
