  2. the current beta does it on Windows 7 IF you have Aero on. If not on, it may work but might not turn off the tooltip. Not sure about Win 8 but on Win 10, the icons are not shown at all if minimized and you don't have them set to show as separate icons on the taskbar.
  3. we are considering doing custom menus /shortcuts, but that would not be for a while. Way too much stuff to do now.
  4. I put in error handling for this stuff to avoid it in the future. Will be in next release (not today's beta)
  5. The default order type is symbol type specific and is really for trade ticket only. The order type that chart trading orders, the order type always defaults to Limit. You could hit the T key while in "drop mode" for the order to toggle through the different order types, so if using IB and wish to get to Market, you would hit T 7 times. May sound inefficient, but if you do that often, you can do it in a sec. However, it would be faster to just drop the buy order above the current price (or sell order below the current price). Has basically the same result and is much faster
  6. Multi-threaded impacts performance, not user interface capabilities. You cannot load 2 layouts at the same time without one overwriting the other. What I meant was that you can just open all the windows that you need for both layouts at the same time.
  7. No, you cannot run 2 copies of MT on the same computer at the same time. However, because MT is so multi-threaded, there really is no reason to. You can just open each portfolio in it's own window. Any particular reason for the request?
  8. email it to support. And preferable to copy the contents instead of screenshot. Our errors allow you to right click and select Copy. If it was an unhandled exception, you can click details, select everything, and then copy. Also, if it is our error box, you can just email us the export with log.
  9. E*Trade is not available for Backfill but they are for quotes. You can use Google or Yahoo for backfill.
  10. E*Trade AU is already supported. BellDirect we cannot add. Not unless they cooperate.

Leave the checkboxes already checked, and also check QUOTE DATA Export, then send to me. NOTE: will be too big to email, so you can send using http://www.wetransfer.com or if you prefer, one of the cloud storage services

  16. focus is problematic because things are so asynchronous. If ticket is already up, focus is left where it was previously
  17. A) MT already does either defaulting of the QTY based on user criteria, or set it to either QTY in Portfolio OR QTY in the actual positions of your account. Those settings are configured PER ACCOUNT. Go to FILE / SETTINGS / TRADING / ACCOUNTS. Select the account you want, then on the right click on Quantity tab and configure the rules for defaulting the quantity and check the boxes if you want MT to use the quantity in the portfolio or positions./

  19. no, because once it is set, it is not remembered at all. any change to the chart - even just moving or resizing it makes it different from whatever template was used.

  21. we do not have backups to our servers. Backups are done local on your computer. None of the settings go to our site at this time. If you don't have a copy of the backups, can't do anything to recover then If you get a new computer, you can download and install MT and login with the same email/password combination that you previousy used, but as far as the settings, you will need to reconfigure stuff again.
  22. issue is with settings getting cleared. Fixed. (was due to a bug in the last release)
